Vintage from the 1940s Brooch width: 2.5 Inches; brooch height: 3.25 Inches; Materials: Gold Style: Edwardian ARGYLL and SUTHERLAND Сoro Gorgeous vintage early Coro Brooch. The Coro mark is a typeface in a rectangular cartouche that dates the piece to around the 1940s. This heraldic style Brooch commemorates the Royal British Argyll and Sutherland Highlander Infantry Battalion, which was formed in the late 1700s. Note. Details in this wonderful piece. There is a fanged boar and a lion surrounded by the names "Argyll and Sutherland". The leaf border is adorned with Scottish thistle and leafy greens, with a crown crowning the top of the Brooch Good vintage condition with some minor wear on front and back.
