kathleen1947 What's the round gray spot on his tail? Thanks.

kale_hano @kathleen1947 Poor photograph of the actual aesthetics of this figurine. Patina is even throughout. If interested, I can take another photograph to confirm. It may be the reflective lighting.

kathleen1947 @kale_hano The area I mention is actually on the base behind the tail and appears in the 5th photo, just to the right of the tail. If that's a reflection just let me know. Thanks for your response.

kale_hano @kathleen1947 I will pull the item later in the day and post a few pictures. I don't recall there being any spotting as it appears in the current pics. Thank you for your interest.

kale_hano @kathleen1947 hmmm! I never noticed that spot. My husband usually catches and takes pics of all the imperfections, that I overlooked. I examined the spot and it looks like a paint drop. I couldn’t tell you exactly, unless a tried scratching it off. I posted additional pictures.

kathleen1947 I think I'll have to pass on these items. You've been an absolute awesome gem with your quick responses and willingness to answer questions. As far as the paint drip, my experience is that it will be a light spot on the patina which you recognize as part of the charm. And the bookends ARE wonderful but chipped pottery really has diminished value. Part of the way I justify collecting old things, is knowing they will retain their value. Unfortunately, not so for these old lovelies. Thank you!
