Amazing large, yellow and black on white background, rayon blend 38 inch square scarf by famed 1950's, 60's , 70's and 80's designer Michael Novarese from California. Mr. Novarese was a fascinating man who dressed the likes of Dinah Shore, Liza Minelli, Judy Garland, Nancy Regan among many others from Hollywood starlets to Washington elites! I really enjoyed researching his incredible career. Sadly he passed away in 2010. But his design legacy endures. Absolutely fascinating life! Going into the Fashion Design industry, he became one of the foremost designers from 1960-1990. He was elected into the Smithsonian Institute representing American Designers from 1970-1980. He designed gowns for Jane Russell, Liza Minelli, Judy Garland, Dolores Hope, Jan Clayton, Dinah Shore, and many of the Ambassadors wives during the Reagan Administration. Michael was also a member of the Knights of Malta. After retiring in 1992 he was on the advisory board at The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising where he established the Novarese Scholarship fund.
This bold letter scarf is I think from the 1980's. I could not find it anywhere online!

Beautiful Scarf. Rare find. I'm a personal shopper and I may have a client who might want it. I'll let you know. I have Michael V suit in my closet that is also very rare. He created for a celebrity who wore it on a television show. I have had offers on it so I will share your listing with those buyers as well.🌿
