VINTAGE France 1998 FIFA World Cup Tumbler/Juice Glasses; Set of 2.

Set of two vintage glasses featuring Footix, a rooster that represented France. The name was chosen after the French public voted on it in 1996. Footix was a rooster wearing a blue jumpsuit with a red crest and the words "France 98" in white. The colors were based on the French national team's shirt and the host nation's flag. The name Footix is a combination of "football" and the "-ix" suffix, which comes from the comic strip Astérix. In the comic, the Gauls, the ancestors of the French people, often have names that end in "-ix". Creator: Fabrice Pialot. Overall still good shape with the exception of ONE glass which has some discoloration as best shown in photo. Sold as a set. Will not separate the two.
