VINTAGE GAULTIER (EUC) - HOST PICK! - Size 0/2

This dress is such a work of art, that a part of me wants to keep it, just to continue admiring it. But alas, this dress has not fit me for a very long time. I'd even considered keeping this to wear as a light 'jacket' or outerwear accessory, casually wearing it (unbuttoned, sleeves rolled up, one side of the collar lifted up...) over a slim, solid-black dress, or a solid-black top and leggings, but I never got around to securing the right solid black items to wear under this dress. This is naturally a very fitted dress, particularly at the waist. In fact, even when it did fit me, it seems the waist was designed to be so tight as to create a very slight 'corset' effect. I definitely had to 'suck in my stomach' while wearing this dress, and I also had to be careful when walking or going up any stairs. As a result, there was some 'pull' on the buttons, all of which have since been reinforced. The very bottom button had the most pull on it, as you can see in one of the photos. That said, no one would notice anything being off with that button, unless they really studied it. Otherwise, the dress is in excellent condition. I probably purchased this dress around 1999 or so. While the size label is no longer visible, I'd say this dress is more or less a US size 0 or 2. Beautiful detailing in the decorative stitching found throughout the dress, as well as Gaultier's standard 'horizontal tab' that's just below the back of the neck...
