Helmut Lang's Spring 2001 show looks was pure Helmut: functional, urban and modern. Lang, the designer who pioneered androgynous, uniform dressing, had designed a brilliant collection that could go from a Tribeca loft cocktail party to an alleyway midnight rendezvous west of Times Square. Helmut Lang left his own label in January 2005. Original owner and purchased in 2001. Last worn in 2005 and has been hanging in my closet. No holes – slight deodorant underarm mark (can be washed). Various Helmut Lang versions of feathered trims on tops seen on runways beginning in Spring 2000, Fall 2001 and Spring 2001. Current Helmut Lang version only has feather trim on one side.
