I don’t know much about this necklace except it was my Grandmother’s, and I always felt like a princess wearing it. It seems to be about 15” long and that is why I’m selling. It no longer fits me. I have no idea of value, but this is extremely well made, and my grandmother worked at the most expensive, luxurious jewelry store around my area for decades. If any vintage costume jewelry experts would like to help me understand more about it, I would love to know more to price it correctly.

zulublu @ellegrace0120 Hi, I searched estate jewelry and it looked like you know way more than I do. Could you help me at all in what this piece should be priced at?

zulublu @ellegrace0120 The spacing between the rhinestones is not fixed. Reminds me of some Dylanlex I have ran across. I hope that makes sense. The rhinestones could be smushed together or pulled apart a little because of the metal holding the necklace together fluctuating.

ellegrace0120 @zulublu absolutely can you take a picture of the clasp, the back of the necklace, and a close up of one of the stone settings? You can post in a separate listing and share to me if you prefer. Those details are largely what you can use go identify potential makers/designers and thus can price accordingly.

ellegrace0120 @zulublu sorry one more thing do you know if the metal is Sterling Silver?

zulublu @ellegrace0120 thank you so much for taking the time to respond and potentially look into for me. I greatly appreciate it. I just got to a doctors appt, but I will take pictures for sure. From my quick inspection, I could not find any markings for it being sterling. I just thought the settings are better than some current jewelry with diamonds.

zulublu @ellegrace0120 I thought the feature where the metal can adjust between each rhinestone to be very unique but something I have ran across in modern jewelry. I’ll tag you when I get home and get pics. Thank you again just for taking the time to even respond!

zulublu @ellegrace0120 And the forth picture is the back of the necklace, but it seems I will need to take some closer pics.

ellegrace0120 @zulublu no problem at all I'm happy to help. If you have a magnet at home place on metal to see if it sticks or is attracted to it. If not possibly Sterling but cant say for sure without further test but could help me help you to identify 😊

zulublu @ellegrace0120 I made a separate listing with the pics you and I talked about. I’m sorry it took several days and I tried to tag you on it a few days ago, but I didn’t hear anything back. I don’t have expectations of anything, I just wanted to make sure you knew I did add the pics. Thank you for any help you can give!

zulublu @ellegrace0120 Thank you so much for just commenting back. We all know life and expected things can get in the way , or at least we should and be patient. I think it’s because I was the generation where computers and then cell phones came out in high school, that things used to take longer. Everyone wants everything right this second - instant gratification lol

zulublu @ellegrace0120 I remember when a movie was in the theater, it was months before we could just rent it, let alone buy it. And then I remember waiting on pictures to get developed. That used to generate excitement and something to look forward to. Nowadays, it seems in general, it is hard to get an adult excited about much. That’s a big reason I was/is doing the huge Drunk elephant 🐘 packages and I loved hearing that it felt like Christmas opening my package.
