VINTAGE JINGDEZHEN FAMILLE ROSE Rice Bowl / 3 Panels of Peaches / Incised Design

The city of Jingdezhen in the province of Jiangxi, China has been producing the highest quality porcelain for over 1000 years. This rice bowl was most likely produced in the mid 1900’s Republic Period as an homage to earlier Famille Rose (Pink Family) dinnerware produced hundreds of years earlier. The bowl has three panels of hand-painted peaches which symbolize immortality, youthfulness, and a long and healthy life. It measures 4.5 inches wide, is 2.25 inches tall and comes with a carved wood stand. Both are in excellent condition and don’t seem to have been used at all.
