VINTAGE Marimekko Tie-Waist Dress, One Size

This adorable and whimsical vintage Marimekko dress from the late 1970s is in great condition! The previous owner has lovingly cared for and preserved it since her mother gifted it to her in the 70s. When I asked her about this dress, she affectionately referred to it as “the elephant dress” and spoke about how much she loved it because at the time she was changing sizes quite often due to a health condition. It’s marked as a size S, but this dress would comfortably fit most sizes, or even work as a maternity dress! It has big roomy pockets and tiny tan polkadots on a beige background. There are no price tags, since the owner wore this dress quite a few times in the 70s and early 80s, but the size tag in the back shows that it is genuine Marimekko from 1977. 100% cotton as well! Because of the baggy nature of this dress, I took a picture of it on me for reference - I’m 5’4”, 140lbs, usually a size 6 or M.
