MARKED STERLING AND NO MAKER MARK BUT WERE PURCHASED IN SANTA FE IN THE 80'S MEASURES 7/8" LONG AND 7/8" WIDE **THE NUMBER AT THE ENDING OF THE LISTING TITLE IS MY INVENTORY NUMBER** I wanted to share a little about the provenance of your purchase. In the 1990’s, I owned a small Native American shop on old route 40 in PA and it was called “THUNDERBIRD TRAIL”. Unfortunately, not many folks in that area appreciated the items so I was just open for a summer. Well before that I lived in LA, CA and drove at least 4 times a year to the Arizona and New Mexico area. I went to many of the pueblos to seek out the NA artists for jewelry, rugs, pottery, baskets and more. The item you are buying was part of this adventure and I purchased most through the artist’s family directly or in the pawn shops in Flagstaff or Albuquerque. You are holding in your hands, the result of a dying generation. If you know the area, the younger generations prefer to make their money in the casinos. This art will sooner or later not be available as less and less is being made. I hate to part with these items but I have no family and it is time.
