VINTAGE - QUIMPER HENRIOT - BAGPIPE FISH PLATE 3BM CIRCA: 1962 FACTORY MARK: This was prior to the company having financial problems when they went out of business in 1968. The marks back then included the Factory # and Design # as depicted on this plate. Design: Male Breton bagpipes (very rare) Extremely rare find as most Quimper fish plates depict a male Breton or female Bretonne in typical Breton dress. This plate depicts 2 male Breton bagpiper's in traditional dress. Making it highly collectible due to its rare nature. My parents were both from Bretagne not far from Quimper and brought this with them from France when they moved to NYC. It's in mint condition, no cracks or chips. Sat in a curio cabinet untouched.
