VINTAGE QUIMPER HENRIOT GOOSE BASKET W/ BRETONNE LARGE

VINTAGE - QUIMPER HENRIOT - GOOSE BASKET WITH BRETONNE - LARGE 3BM CIRCA: 1948 FACTORY MARK: You can tell the age of a item by its mark. This has the classic Henriot marking with the PB. They did not use factory # or design #'s during this earlier time period. The basket is a highly collectible piece as it's the large version. I have only seen the smaller version for sale. The large version depicts the Bretonne in full classic stiff lace head dress and collar that is a custom of the fashion from Bretagne women. The smaller version had no design in the center and is plain beige. There are also pink and yellow flowers in the center as well as the center front and back. the arms of the basket are 2 entwined geese that meet in the center. Colors: green, yellow, black, blue, burgundy. My parents both came from Bretagne and moved to NYC in 63 and brought these pieces with them. Size: 11" H X 101/2" W Condition: Very good, one chip on the rim on side from and one minor nick a little further down (see pics), otherwise in mint condition.
