VINTAGE STERLING SILVER SWORD with Chain. STAMPED STERLING/SIGNED LANG

Vintage Sterling Silver Scimitar or Sword Brooch or Tie Pin with Chain signed and stamped A powerful piece of sterling silver jewelry rich with symbolism and perfect for a woman or a man. The detailing is very fine and although the piece looks substantial and solid, it is in fact hollow-backed to hold the pin, complete with safety catch, rendering the brooch light enough for a blouse or a silk necktie. The piece measures 2 1/2” by 1” at the widest point. The silver maker who designed this is a well known costume jewlery maker by the name of Lang who then went onto have his own jewelry business, Lang Sterling Jewelry. The value of LS jewelry is growing in price, as the brand ceased to exist as early as the 70s of the 20th century.
