Vintage Whitall Tatum Glass Insulator Co. No 9 Item is listed as 19 Made in USA Approximate Measurements: 3.75" tall x 2.5" wide Item photographs as a clear glass, but it almost seems to have a lovely champagne color to it. Slight chip on the underside of glass (see photo) The Whitall Tatum Company was one of the first glass factories in America. Located in Millville, New Jersey, it was in operation from 1806 through 1938. Whitall Tatum entered the insulator manufacturing market in 1922, mass-producing them for use on power and communications lines across the country. Own a really cool piece of history with this glass insulator! Makes a great conversation piece!
