VINTAGE/ANTIQUE AUTHENTIC 1920 /1930 BLACK CREPE DRESS W/HISTORY M/L 10/12 LARGE

Now offering this special black dress from the late 1920s along with an old hand-made green crushed velvet hat. In the mid 1960’s, I free lanced for a movie production company working near my home in rural north Texas. These pieces offered for extras remain from that time. BLACK DRESS has long sleeves and a fitted waist. The skirt portion flares slightly. It’s adorned with leaves made of black trim, it has a modest V neckline. Fullness for bust created by a front row of tucks and roughing on each side. Fabric is a smooth fine crepe(?) Long sleeves have 3” opening which buttons with loops and covered buttons. The only label is a cleaning tag tmarked “J Winston”. Nice condition, manufacturer unknown. , Unlike many pieces that survived that era, it appears to fit a larger person : Bust 23” acros. Shoulder to waist is 18”, overall length is 48” w/ generous 3” hem. GREEN VELVET HAT It is old, unlined and handmade of dark green crushed velvet with a band of black velvet. Rhinestone and feather-like piece for decoration, apparently created for temporary use, it is unlined. Hat is stiff with age and does need to be steamed or blocked and the ornament needs proper attaching or replacement. It’s a neat “flapper” look . Dress very nice although there are a few minor places where some stitches and fasteners need to be secured but overall in remarkably good condition considering age. Shop carefully No returns.
