Pendant brooch designed by Vito Campanella (1932-2014).
Very rare pendant brooch, created by the surrealist artist, sculptor, and goldsmith Vito Campanella, back in the late 1970's. This piece of art was crafted in Buenos Aires Argentina in solid yellow gold of 18 karats with brushed and polished finishes. The artistic brooch was made up in three dimensions with three women's profiles with surrealist patterns and is part of the collection named "Mujer.... Mujeres". It is embellished with eighteen earth mined natural gemstones such: diamonds and one emerald. The piece is fitted at the reverse with a ring to wear as a necklace in a chain and a hinged pin bar with a mechanical lock to wear as a brooch.
Vito Campanella
Vito Campanella was an Argentine painter of Italian origin born in Monopoli, Bari on October 17, 1932. Before establishing himself in Buenos Aires in 1955, Campanella studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Brera in Milan and in cultural centers of important European artists. Campanella has had numerous solo and group exhibitions. At the age of 16, the young Campanella was selected to create a mural in the church of his hometown and shortly after he won the “Pintura delle Regione” prize in Naples. In 1952, at just 20 years old, he was invited to exhibit at the Annual Salon of Bari, then traveling to the beautiful city of Florence, where he participated in various cultural activities and began to travel his aesthetic path through abstract art, pop ar
