VIntage Trivet/Tile Walter Crane Lion in Love

"Lion in Love" tile based on the story of the same name from the book "Baby's Own Aesop" (1887), illustrated by English artist and book illustrator Walter Crane (1845-1915). The image is signed by Crane. The limerick at the top of the tile tells the story, the smaller print at the bottom is its moral. Manufactured by the American Encaustic Tile Company, the first and leading American encaustic tile company of its day. Tile is a trivet with four feet. 6" square x approximately 5/8" thick
