VTG 1900's BOOK Modern Music Series The Common School Book of Vocal Music Study Music textbook dated 1904 is a "course of song and study for use in schools of mixed grades." This was probably much used in one-room rural schools in the early 1900s. The Common School Book of Vocal Music includes a variety of songs, from simple forms to more advanced. The pencil inscription of previous owner inside reads: “Edward Yesseler Song Book” October 1, 1912. The book has tan boards, shelf wear & tear along the edges, a small tear on page 31 and overall wear consistent with a book from 1904
