This is a nice Handheld Ricer or Masher in good used condition meaning that it has been used previously. It will show signs of cosmetic wear, mostly paint flaked away or missing, but it is fully operational and functions as intended. The metal is age tarnished. It is well used but not abused. This Ricer or Masher was made by "Handy Things" from 1920 to 1949 in Ludington, Michigan USA. This original vintage kitchen tool is made of metal and consists of masher and a handle. It was made for mashing any type of vegetable one needed to mash. It was Red in color, about 11" X 4 1/2" X 4" inches in size and weighs just over a pound at 1 lb 4 ounces. On the bottom of the mashing plate it reads "HANDY THINGS Ludington, Michigan USA Trademark Reg. along with the brand logo. This is a great practical country kitchen decor item as is or restore with a fresh paint job after good cleaning, I left that choice to the buyer.
