✨VTG✨ 1950's Tourist Trade Alligator Purse Handbag w Taxidermy Baby Alligator 🐊 100% genuine alligator leather, Made in Florida, USA 🐊EXCELLENT CONDITION‼️ Measurements: ~ 11.5” x 8” depth ~7” 🐊VERY RAR TO SEE IN THIS CONDITION‼️ 🐊Amber Brown 🐊 Alligator handbags were made for the tourist trade in Florida and Cuba in the 1940s and 1950s. Some, but not all, incorporated the bodies of baby alligators in the designs. Most were well-made and included handles or straps. There is a renewed interest in them. People who bought them over a half century ago are interested in the value. 🐊 This bag is incredibly well-preserved! The body of the alligator, including the full head, drapes over the front of the purse and onto the back side. All of the hand-stitching is intact. The lining is perfect. The front closes with a brass buckles. You can carry it as a clutch when you detach the handle or use the strap. The strap is adjustable. It sits on four metal ball feet.
