VTG Wooden Recipe Box from the 1950’s. This box with dovetail joints was made out of oak by the Weis Manufacturing Company out of Monroe, Michigan. It may be used not only for recipes (perhaps add index divider tabs) but also for other small items. There are twin brass hinges in the back which allow the flip top to fully open to rest against the back. There is minor damage to the red & gold Weis logo and a few dings in the wood, but still in good vintage condition. A little history on this box - the Weis Manufacturing Company “produced organizing boxes, paper, and equipment for homes and businesses from 1912 to 1964.”
