Vintage Western Germany Brooch Oval Brass Frame Porcelain Hand Painted Woman This beautiful brooch features an oval porcelain hand painted woman with red hair wearing a hat inside a prong set antique tone metal frame Measurements: 2" X 1.61" The back of the brooch is signed Western Germany which dates this brooch to between 1949 to 1990. Hand-painted porcelain and enamel pieces in floral settings were also popular and often constructed by women who were in need of jobs after the war. The front of brooch is in excellent condition. On the back there is some slight darkening on the metal at edge, this could likely be removed with further cleaning. some slight metal toning on the pin and very slight on the edge of frame.
