Top of gold-toned frame covered w/elaborate design of beads, faux pearls, gold braiding & enamel work. Gold-toned chain handle. cheviotgal @velvetsgypjunk So glad you like it! It is very special and the workmanship is lovely. It belonged to my mother who is now 95. She loved it and it has had a long and happy life so far. Although I hate to part with it, I don’t have children and therefore grandchildren, so there is no one to pass it down to as the family heirloom it is. But it can become an heirloom for someone else who will appreciate it and treasure it.

cheviotgal @velvetsgypjunk She was a model in NYC in her youth and always had great taste (to me). (But more importantly she was and is a nice person.) I honestly think this is a good investment and loving it makes it even better. I’ve seen people ‘frame’ similar ‘collector’s’ purses in a transparent acrylic shadow box and hang on their bedroom wall, in a way that is easy to remove to wear it. If it’s meant for you to have it, you will figure it out and it will still be available.
