Vintage American silversmiths Webster Co. Art Deco style and era small- sized Sterling Silver Matchbox 1 3/4"L x 1 1/8"W X1/2"H Cover/Holder/Safe has stylish etched wheel cut vertical line design interspersed w/ polished silver bands w/ rectangular space on top lt. corner, monogrammed with a flourished "G". Openings on the sides to expose the strike surface of the matchbox. Marked Sterling on top of one side w/ hallmark of Webster Co., a superimposed "W" and "Co" pierced horizontally by a right-facing feathered arrow (see photos as well as image of company logo). Design would complement either Art Deco or mid-century modern style. Classic!
