THINGS TO KNOW:
1) REASONABLE lifespan of magnetic tape is 20 to 50 years, this tape is well-beyond its useful life and should be treated with particular care,
2) ALL decades-old magnetic tape is subject to "sluff", or the shedding of the magnetic oxide from the tape’s backing.
3) Tested on a well-maintained Akai XD1800SD deck-including rewind and fast-forward-without breakage or meaningful "sluff",
4) We will not accept returns for damage caused by your gear: improper function of braking, tensioning, threading and auto-stop.
