Her mother was an artist, who worked for Disney Studios. Cleo moved to Tucson in 1961 Early in her career, Teissedre was the founder of Teissedre Designs, Inc., a pottery factory operating out of a small shop in Tucson, Arizona. The company was sold in 1996 but continued under that name. Always interested in art, Cleo Teissedre's later career was as a watercolor painter and photographer. She died in 2020.
