💠 VTG Empoli Italy Teal Blue Green Glass Wide Shallow Bowl

Beautiful, luminous, and elegant - all words that perfectly describe the nature of Empoli glass. Made in the Empoli region of Italy, this glass is known for its brilliant colors, optic patterns, and delicate thinness. Empoli pieces are a staple of mid-century design. This bowl is made from a deep teal glass that is thinner and thicker in vertical bands, creating an optic pattern. It is wide and shallow, with a gently "scalloped" top edge that so characterizes this style of Empoli. This piece is in very good vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, or easily visible damage. It does have a couple of small scuffs to the outside, but they aren't easily seen unless you look for them. The concentration of glass in the bottom is off-center, but it does sit flat. It measures: approximately 9.125" wide and 3.25" tall. The glass is a mere 1/16th of an inch thick!
