Antique Faturan Butterscotch Amber Bakelite Graduated Prayer Worry Beads Necklace! 1940's Estate piece features 15 Faturan Amber Bakelite beads, metal spacers beads & hook closure. Largest bead (35mmx30mm) & smallest (17mmx14mm). Hangs 12" long around neck & weighs 8.9 oz or 252.31 grams. Sweet smell when beads are rubbed together & can see threaded layers inside. Necklace has been restrung. NOTE: Faturan Amber cannot be tested using Simichrome Polish like Bakelite. EX condition. Offers welcomed

cmgsalang @bakelitebetty Hi there! It's the same color as copal but the beads internal structure (threaded layers) is different & weight (heavier) than young Amber. When you look at Faturan Amber, it has a swirl effect, called an "eye damar" that appears to look like an eye. The inside of a Copal bead does not have that when it is illuminated by a light. Also no piney smell when heated. Thx so much!.... 💞
