This watercolor print of Charleston, South Carolina's Historic High Battery was purchased by my sister in the 1990s when she was a student at COC/College of Charleston. The artist is Madeline Carol, a very well-established artist whose gallery was once on John Street (My sister's apt. was just around the corner on King). You can find the gallery's website online, as well as on social media, for further info about Madeline Carol and her work.
The print is covered in its original plastic wrap, as shown. It did have poster putty on the back, and was affixed to a wall at one point. The plastic is visibly worn in spots, which can be seen in photos, however, it did its job in keeping the print safe. It has a separate cardboard piece at back. You could easily remove the plastic & cardboard and frame it. Some of the plastic is open around the edges, with just that one larger hole and some smaller ones at the top, shown in photo 13.
I have not found another one like this one. I checked the Wayback Machine for the gallery's website which came into being in 2001, too late. I don't know much more about this particular print. It is signed, as shown. There are no numbers, so I don't think it was a limited series of any kind. Quite beautiful nonetheless. The last photo shows the name and address of the focal point of this painting, 29 East Battery Street, aka, the Porcher-Simonds House, with lovely palmettos in front. You can find lots of info on these historic homes online as well!
