VTG I Country Life I Pure New Wool Tie I Made in Scotland

Here's a great vintage tie by Country Life, Made in Scotland. It is made of pure new wool, in gray hues with distinctive red, blue & purple stripes. You can also detect green in the wool when you zoom in on it. Nice colors! I'm not sure if it's appropriate to call this tie "Tartan" with a capital "T", so I will leave that one to the experts! Photo 2, label Photos 3-4, approximate measurements, 3" wide, 59" total length ***Photos 12-14, individual close-ups of wear spots & one loose blue thread ***Photo 15, location of the above on tie (the middle arrow is the one that is most visible with the naked eye, but overall, the casual observer would not notice any of them) The last photo is about as good as it gets in finding information on this label. The UK Intellectual Property Office, in which you can search trade marks, had 2 entries for "Country Life," in their category 25 (clothing, footwear, headgear), neither of which seemed to be a fit (nor were the dead/expired marks). So most mentions of these ties call them vintage with a random decade attached (1960s in last photo, another I saw said 1980s), but with no back-up information. The Harrods "Country Life Couture" label looks *similar* but they're English, and this is where I call it quits! I tried. The mark may never have been registered could be all it is.
