VTG I STG I Obelisk Monument Charm

This is an old charm by the J.M. Fisher Co., shuttered in 1982, so it is at least 39 years old. It appears to be an obelisk, made of sterling silver. There is a hole that goes through the bottom, significance unknown, unless it is something other than an obelisk that I'm missing (very possible!).
