Originally purchased at Montaldo's, a high end Raleigh, NC boutique, this stunning black lace dress is right back in style again! There are 3 full layers: an opaque lining (most likely acetate)covered by a sheer layer and a full lace layer on top (4 layers on the bottom ruffle) Wide scoop neck with a long ruffle that falls over the shoulders Long sleeves with a wide ruffle at the wrist Back zipper with hook & eye closure Snap at waist in back (rough edge tucks in when snapped) 13” ruffle with a double layer of lace at hem Seam at waist with slight gathers beneath Threaded belt loops but no belt included - add a ribbon, sash or belt in your own style The floral clusters in the top layer of lace have a purplish tint - cool look! Circa 1974-1995 based on the union label Montaldo’s closed in 1995 No size tag - please check measurements! Underarms: 18.5" across Waist: 15" across Hips: 20.5" across Length: 47" shoulder to hem Sleeve: 25.5" No fabric identified - label says dry clean only. I used a home dry cleaning kit and put the dress in a mesh bag - I recommend the bag whether you clean it at home or send it to the cleaners.
