👑 VTG Italian Handwoven Brocade Damask Jacquard White Gold Coverlet Bedspread

Truly a special piece, a one-of-a-kind handwoven artwork in bright white and shimmering gold. This is a vintage or antique bed coverlet, made in Italy, in a damask/jacquard/brocade weave. It is so luxurious, just waiting to be artfully draped across a bed, a chair, a screen... whatever will set the gold threads to shine in the light! I do not have an age for this coverlet, though I would guess as early as the 1940s but as late as the 1970s. I think it's a cotton/rayon weave, though the gold may be silk rather than rayon. It features a hand knotted fringe of tassels down both sides, which have been freshly untangled and straightened out. This coverlet is in very good condition, with no holes or tears. It has a few very minor marks and snags, none of which detract from its beauty! Please see the photos for specifics.
