VTG Japanese small wooden dessert dishes

Never used, in original wooden box. Vintage small dishes made of 'kiri' or empress tree (paulownia). Set of 5, each with a unique bird design painted in genuine gold leaf. Super light (1.2 oz each). Typically used for serving 'wagashi' (small Japanese confectionaries). Note, these are not meant for wet/moist food items like cakes, pastries: More suited for things like candies or nuts. As it is made of wood, it should be enough to gently wipe off crumbs, etc to clean. If you have to wash, use mild diluted detergent and dry off immediately. Definitely don't put in the dishwasher. If you're the type to be interested in this item, this is all probably common sense to you anyway. (-:
