VTG MALERAS SWEDEN SIGNED BUD VASE/PAPERWEIGHT w GIRL & FLOWERS CRYSTAL Collect

Beautiful, small, vintage, copper-wheel engraved clear crystal vase, made at Målerås (ANNO 1890), around the 1960s. The designer Folke Walving. Beautiful decor of child with flowers on front side. Vase is heavy and thick. Has beautiful shine in sun rays. Will look beautiful in your interior as an tasteful accent. Folke Walving (1907 - 2004) was born into a glass-working family. He studied at Edward Hald and Simon Gate's engraving school in Orrefors and was first employed as a glass engraver at Målerås in 1927. He later became Art Director there until 1970 when the factory was taken over by Flygsfors and subsequently by Royal Krona. The Målerås Company is still in business, with designer Mats Jonasson at the helm. Item is signed on bottom Målerås F.W.S. It can be used as paperweight too.
