VTG- Maisel’s- 23k Gold Plated, S.S.- Denver, Colorado Memorabilia Charm/Coin

Located in Albuquerque, NM, The Maisel’s Indian Trading Post Company was founded in 1931. The age of this specific charm is likely from the 1950s when it was especially popular to collect coins from travel. They were manufacturers of coin silver Native American jewelry. This carded silver coin, plated with 23K gold is embossed rope pattern and features open metal work with the words, Denver, Colorado and in the center, the state flower, a beautifully detailed blue columbine. The coin is on the original card from Maisel’s and stamped on the back, although it is difficult to make out the mark. This little charm would look great on a necklace, bracelet or just to keep as a collectible coin.
