VTG Patricia Smith Moon Bag

Vintage 1980's. Hand painted removable laquer or resin plate flap with ferns and other designs and embellished with moonstone style gems. These bags were made to collect since you can switch out and replace with any flap in your collection!! The flap is a hard half moon made of laquer and other materials. These designs were all made in small, exclusive batches. Each piece of art is a true treasure!! The plate can be removed by lifting the Velcro flap on the interior as shown in photos. The bag is genuine leather and a beauty in it's own right! A light sand tan color in snakeskin or similar textured leather. A pillowy, soft pouch-like purse shape. The interior is in excellent condition. The closure of the bag is a metallic hinge and structured opening rim per photos. In great overall condition with some light marks on flap plate and leather per photos. Not noticeable unless your up close inspecting the piece. It's rare to find these collectibles to be in such great condition!! See photo for measurement of strap length. It is a thin strap that can be used as a cross body or shoulder strap, or placed inside and used as a clutch!
