VTG Steiff Mohair Tabby Cat Fully Articulated/Jointed 1950s, No Button One Owner 1950's Steiff Tabby Cat Fully pose-able because moveable legs and head Green glass eyes Owned by my aunt and uncle, one family with no children In great condition after being loved for a lifetime! 6 3/4" high and 13 1/2" (approximately) Steiff Kitty’s were made from 1949 through 1970, her construction and presentation, put her in at the very beginning of this time period. She is made from off white and grey mohair, beautifully airbrushed with black stripes, making her a true Tabby Cat. She looks at the world through green eyes with slit black pupils, and her pink hand embroidered nose, mouth, and toes are all intact. She looks amazing posed with other stuffed animals and dolls from any era and has the most adorable expression on her sweet face. Kitty is clean and in excellent condition. With no general play-wear to her. Her construction is completely solid and her joints hold her in a standing position. She has at least another century of love to give. Please view photos. This Steiff kitty sat near the fireplace at my aunt’s house in San Diego. She was mine and my aunt’s kitty and she sat next to our Steiff tiger kitty, both on a black and red embroidered silk blanket.
