VTG Vera Pelle - Leonardo da Vinci - Firenze/Florence Italy - Leather Wallet GUC I picked this beauty up in my favorite local thrift shop. It is very vintage and has some issues, but once I held it, I couldn’t put it back. It has been worn so wonderfully smooth by years of age and use, that it is a delight to hold and handle. (Good used condition.) The exterior is weathered and distressed. The corners of the spine are broken-in and a bit chipped. The interior plastic ID window is stained permanently with the vague outline of the previous owners ID. I’m listing it after some internal debate. It’s not perfect, but I recently came across a post in the Dull Men’s Group—contrary to its name I find it to be a rather entertaining fb group—in which a man described using a leather wallet that his mother gave him when he was 17, well into his 60s. He included a picture in which you can see the absolute deteriorated condition of this man’s wallet that he refused part ways with. He said it had gotten to the point he couldn’t even use it for bank cards because it couldn’t handle the daily use. Well, it made me think… maybe there is someone out there who needs a new, old wallet. Aside from its flaws, it has a lot of life left in it! So here we are.
