VTG Victoria Royal Ltd. Medium Gray Silver Evening Gown

Here is a genuine piece of fashion history! Victoria Royal Ltd, Hong Kong, made exquisite evening gowns from the 1950s-60s. Their designer, Oscar Montalto, also made bespoke gowns for Grace Kelly. This gown is in excellent vintage condition, and has been freshly dry cleaned. The top is carefully beaded in a pattern reminiscent of flowing water, in silver and black. The skirt is done in medium gray silk. Included is a matching silk wrap, which can also be worn around the throat, flowing dramatically down the back. Although marked Size 10, this is 1950’s size 10! It couldn’t quite zip all the way on my medium size dress form. Please go by these measurements, dress laid flat: Bust 16”; Waist 14” (this the high waist of the dress, the tightest spot before the skirt flares out); Hips: 20.5”; Length 58”, shoulder to hem.
