VTG- W. German Glowing Opaline, Crystal, Enameled Floral Brooch

What a beautiful design and mix of materials and craftsmanship that is rarely seen with some of today’s jewelry. This little pin is a whopper! It features a hand beaded mix of Opaline, Swirled Blue, Dark Sapphire, Aurora Borealis and Faux Pearl, all clustered together and capped with gold tone tips. The blend of this unique pin’s bead work is a simply stunning work of art. Then, tack on the embossed gilt twisted vines and 4 layered leaves on each side. The embossed leaves have a white enameled finish which make me think.. What doesn’t this pin feature. On the backside, there is a raised circular cartouche stamped: MADE IN GERMANY WEST. The clasp is a safety clasp without the full cap. But the pin doesn’t extend beyond the clasp. It’s somewhat difficult to date aside from knowing it was made when Western Germany existed. It is set on a circular back but it’s about 1 1/5” long by 1 1/4” wide.
