VTG WEISS Purple Rhinestone Enamel Daisies Wreath Brooch Earrings Set, AS IS

Pretty amethyst colored rhinestone brooch and clip-on earring set. Very good condition except that it is missing a few tiny rhinestones in daisy centers -2 on brooch and 1 on one earring. Not very noticeable as set is so pretty otherwise. No wear to the enamel flowers. Albert Weiss was known for using Swarovski Crystals in his jewelry and was considered a high-end Designer. He opened his own business in the 1940s in New York City and would travel to Europe to purchase jewelry findings and Swarovski crystals. He was considered an expert in enamel detail. Wreath brooch measures approximately 1.5" in diameter and earrings measure approximately .75". Earrings are signed "WEISS" without the copyright symbol which dates this set prior to 1955.
