VTG mid-70’s Made for Montgomery Ward Bright Floral Bedspread and Sham

Truly a vintage find and blast from the past for me. This was the kind of fancy ruffled bedspread every 8 year old girl hoped for back in the day! I bought this to use for myself, but I use my bed as part of my WFH set up and I don’t want to beat this bedspread up with daily use. Made of acetate with polyester filling and nylon backing, this one is in good vintage condition with some repair work done at the top of the bedspread and some pilling in the backing. The sham feels and looks like it wasn’t used, at least not as much. The tags says dry clean only but another vintage buyer I spoke with said that was to keep it from fading. I’m guessing this was back in the day when people didn’t realize cold water washing works so they washed everything in hot water. If I kept it, I would wash it on cold, gentle cycle and hang it to dry. The fabric might be too delicate for daily use but it would be a great addition to a theater set department, a display in a store or for a photo shoot. The colors are very vibrant and it’s a very lightweight, spring/summer cover. Bedspread: DM me for the measurements as Poshmark is flagging as oversized, which it’s not.
