Valentino sheer silk dress (size 40/US 4)

Valentino black sheer silk dress in size 40 (US 4). NWOT – I got the dress from a friend for an event and no longer has original tags but it has never been worn (by either of us) other than trying it on for the photos here and is in perfect conditions with no marks or signs of wear and tear. The material is a light gauzy chiffon (100% silk) and the fabric is gathered / pleated throughout so it is sheer without being completely transparent so it can be worn as a dress with something underneath but it would also make an amazing swim coverup. The fabric looks exactly like the Valentino dress that Florence Pugh wore to the BoF 500 Gala during PFW (see photos for reference). The dress has a high neck with elasticated ruffle fabric and a ribbon that ties on the side, as well as button in the back. There is a hidden zipper and the waist is also elasticated but is loosely fitted to give it more of a drop waist look (which also makes it super versatile for sizing).
