Valentino vintage silk chiffon and black knit, semi-transparent

Valentino floor-length chic glamour gown. Vintage 80s or early 90s but very much like current spring couture runway offerings. Valentino Boutique made in Italy; I bought it back then as a "runway sample." Two layers of fine silk chiffon long skirt, lots of fabric but hangs slim with some flounce at hems. Great movement. Not very opaque - back decades ago I got side-eye from matrons disapproving seeing the outline of my legs in off-white pantyhose. These days not considered so shocking, or you could wear a white half-slip. Upper part of dress is black sweater-knit silk that transitions to tighter knit below bust down to dropped waist as pictured. Lots of stretch available. Measurements are difficult because the thinner the wearer the longer the top stretches down. But on an "average" vintage designer size 12 wearer, the dropped waist falls higher on the hips. I’m 5’10” and had no problem with the glamorous length. Measurements not filled out by a wearer: Pit to pit measured flat and not stretched 19", waist measured flat not stretched 18", length hanging loose approximately 63" from estimated neck of mannequin (not from scoop neck). Two small areas of little run holes at bottom, see photos, pretty much invisible/not important to appearance with layer behind them; priced accordingly.
