I just want to let you know that this is probably a vintage handbag. Beading like this was done a lot more back in the 60's-80's (more so in the 60's as less things were mass produced and more was hand stitched.) just figured you might want to do some more research in case you are missing out on a big money maker! 🙌🏻😋

@littleblondebee thanks for letting me know. I took it off for now. I’m not sure if it is vintage it’s in too perfect condition but you never know. Thanks again!

@sandiegoseller of course! And in doing some research of my own I found a few listings of the same purse but in a different color on a different site that shows that it is vintage!!

@littleblondebee really! I didn’t know this designer has been around that long but definitely worth looking into. It’s a beautiful bag but I never use it so may as well let someone else enjoy it. Were the ones that you saw more expensive than mine?

@sandiegoseller the ones I saw were priced all over the board. Some were very low, & others were priced around the same. I found the designer "Valerie Stevens" was first produced by a company called May Department Stores Co. created in 1887. Normally for a design handbag like this, I would place it in the 60's. since it can't be before the 80's, I would place this handbag from the 80's.

Also lastly, I found a listing placing it as a 1980's purse. Normally for a 60's purse, the beading would be made out of glass and the stitching would be a bit off (seeing as things were handmade back then.) though obviously it can't be before 1987. Also the style of the purse is very unusual to the modern style of 2000's so it would have to be before then as well. Which again, places this item in around the 80's-90's, either way it is vintage! Congrats on having one in Lin condition!

@littleblondebee wow thank you for all that information. You must love vintage and fashion. It really is like a treasure hunt sometimes. I found a Lucille de Paris purse about 9 months ago that was in pristine condition. I fell in love with it before I knew anything about it so bought it without any research but it was a steal even if it wasn’t what it turned out to be...I love when that happens. Thank you again for so much information.
