Conceived as a tribute to Californian art, the capsule ennobles apparel and footwear through the masterpieces of three exceptional artists selected from the roster of the famous Museum of Contemporary Art on Grand Avenue in Downtown LA. The artwork for this sneaker is by Judith Baca, a Latin American activist and multifaceted artist who is best known for her large-scale murals. The selected artworks are "Triumph of the Hearts" and "Triumph of the Hands" for the canvas upper, and "Non-Violent Resistance" for the waffle pattern sole.
