My BabyGirl was totting around in crib shoes sized by age...and then she went straight into a toddler size 4 when she began to wear soled shoes to daycare. I love this shoe so much that I upsized it with her growth until now, when upsizing is no longer an option. (She has pink fur boots for winter, but I still haven't found any replacement shoes that I like. The existing pink toddler Vans seem to be canvas, and these are more weather-durable.)
