Supermoto is a newer sport that combines dirt track and asphalt racing, so riders need both impact protection and abrasion protection. It’s generally a summer sport, so jackets designed for this sport have to be comfortable in hot weather. Just so happens, this feature set is perfect for street riders/racers as well. This jacket is a combination of mesh, perforated leather and solid leather, so the air flow through the jacket will be just about as good as with an ordinary mesh jacket, but Vanson’s thick competition weight leather panels give this jacket WAY more abrasion resistance than common mesh jackets. You also get a complete set of “street” armor in the shoulders and elbows and a foam back pad.
