sarahcordrey Gorgeous dress! I hope you get a speedy sale. personally, I would avoid selling to anyone asking you to sell outside of poshmark. I was scammed selling my wedding dress that way (on a different app) because they asked to deal with me "directly" outside of the app. never again. 💖 if they're asking to sell outside of poshmark (unless they live nextdoor), probably a 99% chance they're a scammer. wishing you love and a safe sale!

sarahcordrey @jwerderitsch Exactly! any transactions made through the poshmark app are safe because if they never pay you, you don't send the dress. this is because poshmark has a vested interest in making sure their payment is legitimate (because if it's not poshmark doesn't get their fee). what happened to me is they sent payment outside of the app but it was a fake payment. So I shipped the dress and got nothing for it.

sarahcordrey even poshmark is trying to cut down on this fraud by limiting words they can post in the comments, which is why it's very common for scammers to only mention their email (with adjustments). also, they usually only target high priced items.
